Trade can only be fair if the consumer has a guarantee of the goods’ quality, especially when the material is as precious as silver.
For the certification of their origin, all the objects are marked with the tamasheq-signature of the artisans.
We guarantee that all the objects which are stated "sterling 925" are made of sterling silver from either France or Switzerland. We state an approximation of the weight of the silver in the description of the object.
We guarantee that the silver objects that weigh less than 30 gr are also made of real silver. Since not obligated by law, we don’t hallmark them in order for the costs of the smaller objects not go up too much.
The Touareg silver comes from silver objects that the Tuareg have collected along the way : old jewellery, old coins etc. There are no official guarantees of how much silver there really is in these objects. We estimate that all the objects’ material has more than or at least 60% silver.
Since all the objects are made by hand and their curves and forms vary, you may find that the object you order and receive differs very slightly from the picture you see on our website.
Two small advice on how to keep your silver objects clean and shiny :
• Avoid storing all your silver jewellery in the same place. This will help the silver not to become “black” too soon. When silver naturally blackens, its splendour is easily reinstalled with a little cleaning.
• When cleaning your silver jewellery, use a touch of lemon or a proper silever towel (can be bought in most jewellery shops world all over) Or jus wear it, your skin’s acidity cleans the silver naturally.
